“ ‘I am looking for someone to share in an adventure that I am arranging, and it’s very difficult to find anyone.’
‘I should think so — in these parts! We are plain quiet folk and have no use for adventures. Nasty disturbing uncomfortable things! Make you late for dinner!’ I can’t think what anybody sees in them.’”
― J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
More so than I would like to admit, I am like Bilbo Baggins (quoted above).
I like to be comfortable, and sometimes adventures seem like more trouble than they’re worth. My family didn’t travel often when I was young, and when they did it was to visit family.
But now that I’m in college I have the opportunity and expectation of learning about and exploring the world. With studying abroad comes the responsibility of having many adventures.
I hope to chronicle those adventures on this blog.
My name is Breeze, and this fall I will be studying in London and exploring Europe.
